Repair and Maintaining of the Tennis Courts:
To solve the serious water drainage problem on the tennis courts, the
CBTB Board of Directors at the October meeting asked Roger Failmezger to get
three estimates to repair the water drainage issue around the tennis courts.
Roger will present his three bids today in new business.
Request that the CBTB board of directors approve today one of the bids to repair
the tennis courts drainage problem.
Crab grass and weeds continues to grow through the fence at the tennis courts
onto the tennis court surface. I have pulled up some of these weeds and crab
grass. We request that the CBTB board of directors ask Wilford Stevens to put
the tennis courts on his list for weed and crab grass control inside and outside
of the tennis courts. We request that the CBTB board of directors vote on this
issue today under new business today.
One of the tennis courts has developed a bubble on top of the surface and there
are also cracks on both courts that need patching. John Cooper stated
to me that these problems on the tennis
courts will be repaired as soon as the weather is better.
The tennis players that have paid their user fees are having a Christmas party
at one of the tennis players home on Monday. They have so much fun playing
tennis that they have social activities when off the CBTB tennis courts.
The tennis players continue to play tennis “all year”. You can see them playing
on hot days in the summer and cold days in the fall and winter. They organize
themselves by E-mail to play tennis.
The tennis players keep the courts in good shape by blowing, sweeping,
and rolling the courts when they are dirty or wet. They even removed snow in the
winter from the tennis courts.
